FREE LYFT TRANSPORTATION IN SONOMA COUNTY
United Way of the Wine Country in partnership with United Way Worldwide is offering free LYFT rides to Sonoma County residents.
Ride Qualifications:
- Medical/Healthcare. Ex: Medical appointments, Urgent Care (non-emergency)
- Financial Assistance (including public benefits, CalWORKs, SNAP, WIC, General Relief, and housing vouchers)
- Disaster (transportation to shelter, hotel, relocation site, or to return home, and more)
- Legal: Eviction Court, Court Ordered Community Service, Probation/Parole Check-in, Court Ordered Education, Commute to/from Court Proceedings/Counsel, Record Expungement
- Education: Enrollment, Commute to/from School, Class, Daycare, Guadian School Engagement, Library or Internet Access
- Employment: Job Interview, Commute to/from Work, Pre-Employment Needs, Technology Acquisition
- Food Pantries
- Economic Stability: Essential Supplies (non-food), Tax Preparation Services, Transportation Services (DMV, Car Repair, etc.), Record Obtainment (SSN, Birth/Death certificate, etc.)
- Rides are available to all Sonoma County residents.
Kaiser Permanente Medi-Cal members may be able to get nonmedical transportation to and from a medical appointment or service.
To use nonmedical transportation, you must:
• Be a Kaiser Permanente Medi-Cal member
• Have no other way to get to your scheduled appointment or service
• Be able to get in and out of the vehicle without any help from the driver
For routine appointments:
• Rides are available Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Call at least 3 days before your appointment, or as soon as possible.
For urgent needs:
• If you’re discharged from the hospital or have an urgent request, you can call for a ride 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Vivalon has helped this valuable population stay active, informed, supported and nourished, while also meeting their crucial transportation needs. Vivalon is the largest nonprofit serving older adults and people with disabilities in Marin County. Also, now serving Sonoma County.
Vivalon Rides helps older adults and people with disabilities get where they need to go—safely and comfortably. Our professional drivers are trained to provide door-to-door assistance, and our vehicles are wheelchair accessible and ADA-equipped.
Onward is an on-demand transportation provider on a mission to enable healthy living by removing transportation barriers. Our signature service, a “Companion Ride” is the premier ride-share alternative for seniors, disabled adults, and low acuity patients in need of minor physical assistance. Onward offers recurring transport which can be configured in your profile. Additionally, “Wait & Return” trips where the same Companion Driver assists a rider to their destination, waits for them to finish an appointment for example, and then drives the rider home, are available.
We are local family-owned Transportation company that provides rides and serves people in and around Sonoma County. We provide wheelchair and ambulatory service from 5 am – 7 pm Monday through Saturdays.

Our main focus is to transport those who are in need of assistance whether it is medical or non-medical to their designated appointments. We provide wheelchair transportation services to the elderly and the disabled. In addition to our wheelchair transportation, our company also provides with gurney transportation as well, that way you are accommodated with the most proper transportation available.
The SilverRide assisted ride service offer rides in the North Bay and Sonoma county for riders going to San Francisco or Oakland areas or coming back from those areas. SilverRide drivers are bonded, trained and insured to help you each step of the way.
Coastal seniors has two (2) 8-Passenger, handicap accessible transport buses. We offer rides to our seniors or disabled adults on Monday thru Friday. Rides are provided to and from the Senior Dine-In lunches, local errands (Post Office, supermarkets, etc.) and local medical appointments. We also offer rides to our seniors and disabled adults to out of town (Ukiah, Santa Rosa and Fort Bragg) medical appointments. All rides are from your doorstep (if accessible with our bus) to/from your scheduled destination.
The Drivers Assisting Seniors in Healdsburg (DASH) volunteer transportation program is available to Seniors age 60 or better who live in Healdsburg and need assistance with transportation.
Trained volunteers drive City-owned vehicles to provide pre-scheduled rides for medical, shopping, and social activities within Healdsburg and out of town rides for medical appointments to individuals residing in Healdsburg.
Once riders are enrolled in the program, they may request a DASH car one week in advance of their appointment. Rides are scheduled according to volunteer driver availability.
The program is funded through the City’s Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) along with a Caltrans grant awarded to Sonoma County.
